About ReHealth Collaborative
ReHealth Collaborative is building a new model for health equity investing. We invest in models that drive systemic change, fuel community-led innovation, and build shared learning across the field because we believe in a world where healthy people and communities are possible when powered by capital that is impact-first and locally led.
ReHealth is entering an exciting growth phase. Board members joining now will play key roles in shaping this next stage of ReHealth’s development.
Role of the Board
The Board of Directors provides strategic oversight, fiduciary stewardship, and thought partnership to ensue ReHealth’s mission, integrity, and long-term sustainability. The Board works in collaboration with the President & CEO to:
Guide strategic direction as we scale and refine our capital deployment and field-building efforts.
Strengthen organizational capacity, governance, and risk management appropriate for a growing investment and philanthropic enterprise.
Support capital raising and fund development, helping to attract catalytic investors, philanthropic partners, and co-investors aligned with ReHealth’s mission and financial model.
Advance equity and systems change, ensuring all decisions center the voices and needs of communities most affected by health inequities.
Serve as ambassadors, leveraging networks to expand ReHealth’s visibility, partnerships, and funding base.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in six board meetings annually and occasional committee and working/committee sessions, as needed.
Review and provide input on strategic plans, investment priorities, financial performance, and serve as the investment committee for the organization reviewing and considering impact investments.
Actively support fundraising and partnership development.
Ensure ReHealth meets its fiduciary, legal, and ethical obligations as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Uphold ReHealth’s commitment to equity, transparency, and accountability in all board and organizational practices.
Desired Qualifications
ReHealth seeks board members who bring a blend of lived experience, professional expertise, leadership and commitment to our mission. We’re looking for individuals who are comfortable in a dynamic environment and energized by the opportunity to shape what’s next.We are particularly seeking those with experience in one or more of the following areas:
Impact investing, community finance, or outcomes-based funding models
Health equity, Medicaid transformation, or social determinants of health
Philanthropy, foundation, or fund management
Organizational scaling, growth-stage strategy, or operations
Policy, systems change, or cross-sector collaboration
Lived experience in communities impacted by inequitable health outcomes
We value diversity across geography, race, ethnicity, gender, lived experience, and sector background.
Term and Commitment
Board terms are three years, renewable once.
Members commit approximately 2-4 hours per month on average, including board and committee meetings, preparation, and periodic one-on-one check-ins with the President & CEO to share insights and stay connected to the organization’s work.
Board members contribute through a combination of expertise, relationship-building, financial support, expertise, and relationship-building.
